We’re heading to Samoa again with Scott K, host of The Church of Tarantino and Men of Action podcasts, to talk about Hobbs & Shaw! After talking about why Scott claimed Hobbs & Shaw months ago, we hear his (sort of unusual) rankings. We wind up comparing the franchise (and its characters) to Batman and Robin, Halloween III, and Charles Manson — each of which inspires exciting possibilities for alternate realities. Scott promises to do some Kurt Russell recon for us then discusses what he loves about Hobbs & Shaw — and where he wishes the movie ended. Joey comes up with a potential reason why Vin Diesel may be so serious in the later movies and wonders: were they trying to set up Eiza Gonzalez’s character for a spinoff? We run through uses of slow motion in the Fast franchise.
