2 Fast 2 Forever #485 – The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning (2006)
Happy Halloween! We’re celebrating the season with The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning, starring Jordana Brewster! She may be the reason we picked this movie, but we accidentally backed into a lap-appropriate movie, too. After Joey shares the backstory behind why this movie was made (“in association with Michael Bay”), we discuss the Jordana Brewster lore tied to this movie. What did the critics who hated this movie expect from it? We talk about the awards it was nominated for (exactly what you’d expect), why Jordana had to re-learn how to run for this movie, and the inevitability of the ending.
We discuss Jordana’s gruesome death. Joey talks about how he doesn’t need Leatherface lore! Joe sees what this movie is REALLY trying to do. We compliment Leatherface on choosing the right face to wear. Joe shares an issue with the way Leatherface uses his chainsaw.
